Let’s Cook !

I don’t know about you but there are a few ingredients that I always have in my kitchen and which feature in most of my dishes. Onion, garlic, ginger, spring onions, thyme and of late scotch bonnets. lately Ive noticed as I’m sure you have too a lot of foods jumping up in price like ginger. Fresh ginger is suddenly quite expensive and I find that sometimes the quality is not great so when I do find some good stuff I buy in bulk and I freeze it, which makes it grate much easier and is quicker to use. Thyme is the same, if it’s been in the fridge for a while I don't want it to wilt so I will

put it in the freezer and it’s actually quite easy to use because all the little thyme leaves fall off easily and then I can just sprinkle it into my food instead of picking each leaf off. 😊
